Centre Court Capital Global Fund I

Centre Court Capital, a venture capital firm in India, supports early-stage startups in sports, fitness and wellness, plus eSports and gaming. They are based in Mumbai and have become known as a specialized investor in areas where tech, community, and performance come together. They just finished their first fund at ₹410 crore, which went over their original goal of ₹350 crore. The fund is aimed at seed- to Series A-stage companies. They plan to put ₹8 crore to ₹24 crore into 15 to 18 startups and save some money for later rounds. Mustafa Ghouse, the former CEO of JSW Sports and an Asian Games bronze medalist in tennis, and Alok Samtaney, who was previously an investment director at TVS Capital Funds, co-started Centre Court Capital. Their leadership has both a strong understanding of the sports world and experience in institutional investing. The fund's main investor is Parth Jindal of the JSW Group. Other investors include Premji Invest, SIDBI, and famous Indian athletes like Neeraj Chopra, PV Sindhu, and Rishabh Pant. Their growing list of investments includes Stupa Sports Analytics, Quidich Innovation Labs, Airoclip, and Michezo Sports, showing they are interested in sports companies that use tech, can grow, and that they believe in for the long run.
