Category I AIFs – Growth and Innovation Capital
Category I AIFs focus on fueling India’s structural growth stories. These funds invest in early-stage, venture, SME, infrastructure, and social impact opportunities that contribute meaningfully to economic development. Investors gain access to entrepreneurial innovation and long-term compounding potential often unavailable through public markets. With professional management, governance oversight, and selective diversification, Category I AIFs appeal to those seeking both returns and impact.
At AltPortFunds, we identify managers with strong domain expertise and proven track records in early-growth investing — ensuring that your participation in India’s growth cycle is strategic, responsible, and rewarding.
Category II AIFs – Private Equity and Credit Options
Category II AIFs include Private Equity, Real Estate, Structured Credit, and Special Situation funds designed for investors seeking consistent long-term appreciation. These strategies typically invest in unlisted companies, growth-stage enterprises, or credit-backed structures, aiming to create value through business transformation and strategic capital deployment. Such funds offer medium- to high-risk exposure with committed capital and multi-year horizons, often providing superior risk-adjusted outcomes compared to traditional avenues. AltPortFunds partners with leading fund houses and PE managers to curate opportunities that blend institutional-grade diligence, sector insight, and disciplined execution — helping investors participate in India’s evolving private markets.
Category III AIFs – Absolute Return & Market-Linked Strategies
Category III AIFs specialize in long-short equity, arbitrage, quant, and multi-asset trading strategies, aiming to generate absolute returns across market cycles. Unlike traditional equity exposure, these funds employ leverage, hedging, and tactical positioning to optimize performance in both rising and falling markets. They suit investors seeking alpha generation with flexibility and agility, often through daily or monthly liquidity structures. AltPortFunds evaluates each strategy for risk management discipline, fund manager skill, and transparency of approach, enabling clients to access sophisticated, market-responsive products designed to enhance portfolio efficiency and diversification beyond conventional equity investing. Every AIF opportunity is filtered through AltPortFunds’ proprietary evaluation process — assessing fund manager pedigree, strategy transparency and performance potential.
At AltPortFunds, we recognize that AIF investing requires more than capital — it requires clarity. Our advisory approach is designed to decode complex alternative strategies and align them with your long-term wealth objectives.
