Prasad founded Caspian in 2004, with the intent to bring more private capital into impact enterprises, and has led the company's work over the past two decades in making pioneering investments that have created market leaders of global quality and scale. Having spent the better part of his professional life in financial inclusion, Prasad has led Caspian's effort in exploring how these lessons can be replicated and amplified in other sectors. Having transitioned to the role of Chairman in 2025, Prasad now enjoys splitting his time between Caspian and Luna - the independent bookstore that he owns and manages along with his wife, Shilpa.
