Samir is an early-stage venture investor with over 20 years of experience in venture capital and 15 years in IT. He started at Wipro, where he was involved in the joint venture with Acer Computer in Taiwan, helping create and sell computers for the Indian market. In 2001, he moved to Acer Technology Ventures, a $260 million fund that invested in India, the U.S., and Asia Pacific. After ATV, he co-founded Inventus and has been key to all three funds. He has been a Board Member or Observer for companies that include Telibrahma, Instahealth and Sokrati. Samir is a respected leader in India’s startup scene, with a wide business network in India and Asia Pacific. He is a Charter Member and former Governing Body member of TiE Bangalore. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay and an MBA from IIM Bangalore.
