Vishal Gupta

Vishal Gupta is the Founder and has more than 25 years of work experience, including 18 years in private equity at several top investment firms. He was a Partner and Investment Committee member for several funds at Motilal Oswal Private Equity, a respected growth capital firm that takes care of over $1 billion in assets. Before that, he was in charge of Private Investments at the family office of Uday Kotak, the person who founded Kotak Mahindra Bank. There, he watched over investments for one of India’s most well-known business families. Vishal Gupta also directed investments at the India Resurgence Fund, which is linked to Bain Capital and manages about $600 million in assets. Earlier on, he was with the investment banking teams at UBS Investment Bank and HSBC in New York, where he concentrated on financial institutions. He also spent time with the Principal Investing Group at HDFC Limited, learning a lot about long-term institutional investing and how to assign capital.
