ASK group was incorporated in the year 1983. Now, ASK PMS is a leading player in the financial industry. ASK invests money by doing research and taking advice from asset management, private equity, and wealth management teams. ASK Investment Managers has around 10 offices in India, from where they give service to their clients, and they also have offices in Dubai, Africa, Singapore, etc. The main focus of ASK is on work with long-term growth in the mind, according to the needs of the customer and their risk capacity.

Term 7 years (from date of Final Closing), may be extended up to 2 years with necessary approvals

Investment Philosophy

 

  • Subjective evaluation of management quality (integrity, vision, execution, capital allocation skills and capital distribution)
  • Rigorous filter of minimum of 20%* annual Earnings Growth over the next 3 to 5 years*
  • Note: Maximum of 25% of the portfolio may be a deviation to the above conditions. *at the time of 1st portfolio construct
  • Top 500 as per market capitalization
  • Rigorous filter of minimum of 15%* Return on Capital Employed (capital efficiency)
  • Finally, a portfolio emerges of 25-30 businesses, representing an optimal blend of the overall characteristics, and adequate diversity, with reasonable Margin of Safety

Meet the Team

Anant Jalan : Portfolio Manager– ASK Investment Managers
  • Anant has a total work experience of more than 15 years. Anant has spent a total of 10 years at Goldman Sachs & Co.
  • He started in the Technology, Media & Telecom Group of the Investment Banking Division in New York. He then subsequently relocated to Mumbai to help build out the India business for Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, a multi-billion-dollar global investment fund.
  • Over the past 5 years, Anant has been managing India portfolios and providing deep-dive research advisory for a small set of family offices. Anant graduated Summa Cum Laude with top honours from the University of Pennsylvania with a double degree – Bachelor of Science in Economics (concentrations in Finance & Accounting) from the Wharton School and Bachelor of Science in Engineering (major in Computer Science Engineering) from the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences in 2005. He is with ASK since Oct 2020.
Dhaval Mehta : Co – Portfolio Manager – ASK Investment Managers
  • Dhaval has more than 8 years of experience in the field of equity research. Currently, he is tracking sectors like FMCG, Retail, Building Material and Media.
  • Prior to joining ASK Group, he was associated with Yes Securities, Emkay Global Financial Services and Ventura Securities where he tracked Consumer & Building material sectors.
  • Dhaval has earned his B.E. from Mumbai University and MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai.

Bharat provides strategic guidance to the CEOs in managing their respective businesses while closely supervising the IM business of the group. Prateek Agrawal

Mr Prateek Agrawal is responsible for Business and Investment Strategy during his job at Motilal Oswal Asset Management.  He has a rich experience of over 28 years in fund management and equity research. He joins MOAMC from ASK Investment Managers, where he served as the Business Head and Chief Investment Officer. Prior to that, he worked with Bol AXA Mutual Fund and BNP Paribas Mutual Fund as Head of Equity and Head of Research at SBI Capital Markets.

Nimesh Mehta

Nimesh Mehta is in charge of domestic business development for Equity PMS and Real Estate Funds, as well as overseas sales through the distribution network. He has over 20 years ofexperience in areas such as NBFCs, Equities, Asset Management, and Financial Services as a Commerce graduate, MBA, and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He has worked for Motilal Oswal AMC, GE Money, and Godrej Appliances, and is the author of ‘Sales Booster’.
