Fund Purpose

This is an actively managed, long only investment strategy under the discretionary mandate designed to make investments in various asset classes viz Domestic Equity, International Equity, Debt, Gold, Silver and Cash (Liquid Funds) via Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) as the underlying, basis the client risk profile. The strategy may also include taking exposure to alternate asset classes such as listed REITs and INVITs. The strategy may also include taking exposure to international markets through direct mutual funds offering Fund of Fund structures.

The investment objective is to generate capital appreciation and/Or income via interest and dividends by investing in a diversified portfolio of ETFs, REITs and INVITs representing various asset classes viz Equity, Debt, Precious Metals, Cash (Liquid Funds), REITs, INVITs and Direct Mutual Funds by utilizing quantitative and qualitative research (both primary and secondary).

Fund Philosophy

Multi-Asset Diversification via Low-Cost Vehicles

The strategy focuses on building a highly resilient portfolio by accessing domestic equities, global markets, fixed income, and precious metals using institutional-grade, liquid Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to maximize cost efficiency and eliminate stock-specific operational risks.

Client Profile-Driven Asset Allocation

The portfolio's structure avoids rigid formulas, dynamically adjusting asset-class weights according to the client’s risk profile and changing macroeconomic realities to ensure optimal asset alignment across varying market environments.

Hybrid Macro and Quantitative Research Engine

The model integrates top-down macroeconomic research with rigorous quantitative screening models to accurately identify undervalued asset classes, structural market cycles, and shifting liquidity trends.

Alternative Yield and Inflation Protection

To cushion traditional equity and debt risks, the strategy actively allocates to alternative, yield-bearing structures like listed Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs), building steady cash flows via interest and dividends.

Unconstrained Geographic and Tactical Agility

The fund capitalizes on cross-border growth and structural currency tailwinds by taking direct international market exposures through structured Fund of Funds (FoF) and global ETFs when domestic asset classes face localized headwinds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about fund investments, performance, portfolio strategy, and investor services.

1. What is the minimum required ticket size to invest in the Merisis Smart Blend ETF strategy? +

In compliance with the SEBI regulatory framework governing Portfolio Management Services (PMS) in India, the minimum investment capital required to onboard into the Merisis Smart Blend ETF strategy is ₹5,000,000 (正式 defined as ₹50 Lakhs).

2. How are the fixed and variable fee frameworks structured for this portfolio? +

Because the underlying investments rely primarily on institutional ETFs, the fees are listed as NA to allow custom structuring. Onboarding agreements typically feature a hybrid layout combining customized fixed tracking fees with tailored performance options.

3. What are the rules regarding liquidity and exit loads for early withdrawals? +

While the default schedule reflects an "NA" status—indicating a flexible structure with zero standard exit loads—investors should review their specific discretionary PMS agreement, as terms can be tailored based on customized account setups.

4. How does using ETFs instead of individual stocks protect investor portfolios? +

By using ETFs as building blocks, the strategy instantly captures broad indices or entire asset classes. This removes individual corporate governance flaws, minimizes transaction slippage, and ensures deep structural liquidity across the entire portfolio.

5. Why does a multi-asset strategy evaluate its performance against the Nifty 50 TRI benchmark? +

The Nifty 50 Total Returns Index represents India's core corporate performance. Using it as a strict hurdle ensures that the multi-asset, risk-mitigated allocations are delivering authentic risk-adjusted returns compared to a purely equity-heavy domestic alternative.
