Chanakya Capital's Investment Approach

Chanakya Capital's investment philosophy is centred on fundamental, first-principles equity research. The firm states that it studies the quality of management and combines qualitative business assessment with discounted cash-flow valuation. A key part of the process is the concept of margin of safety—the strategy disclosure indicates that a company may be excluded when the valuation does not provide an adequate margin of safety.

The firm's broader investment process considers business quality, management characteristics, competitive positioning, long-term cash flows and valuation. Its current public material also describes a concentrated approach and proprietary processes for portfolio construction and market timing. These mechanisms are strategy-specific and should not be interpreted as guarantees of performance.
