Nimesh Kampani

Nimesh is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and a Chartered Accountant with close to 25 years of experience in banking and financial services. In his last role, he built trica, a full-stack technology platform for growth-stage investments and equity management During his tenure of around 2 years, trica capital successfully closed around 30 transactions with a cumulative GDV exceeding US$ 100mn and trica equity was serving more than 900 startups with an investor and employee base exceeding 25,000. Prior to trica, Nimesh led the Investor Relations function at Kotak Mahindra Bank, the 7th largest company in India in terms of market capitalization ($40 bn). Earlier, he was part of the strategy team that planned and analyzed new initiatives, alliances, partnerships and inorganic opportunities for Kotak Group. Some marquee transactions he has worked on include the Kotak Mahindra Bank merger with ING Vysya Bank, a 15% share purchase of MCX (India's largest commodity exchange) and other financial and strategic stake purchases. He held various roles with the bank, ranging from proprietary investment desk, management and reporting to piloting expansionary projects.
