About Company

Unicorn India Ventures was founded in 2016 when our partners, Anil Joshi and Bhaskar Majumdar, brought their complementary skill sets together to pursue a common goal of assisting determined and visionary startup founders in scaling their businesses to new heights and developing the investor ecosystem in India. The investment thesis for this Fund revolved around the countrywide digitization wave as a result of higher internet penetration, increase in smartphone users, ease of doing business and the overall prosperity of the country.

Anil Joshi

Anil is Founder and Managing Partner at Unicorn India Ventures. He has been one of the pioneers of angel investments in India as head of operations and President at Mumbai Angels and Bangalore Angels, leading Angel Investment forums in India. Anil has vast experience in business development, corporate management, project management in all the stratas of organizations – small, medium and large. Anil has helped close approximately 100+ venture-financing deals and was directly involved in closure of over 50+ deals. Anil has served on the Board of 6 companies and is involved with various incubation centers as mentor in India as well as internationally. He is very well respected and valued in the start-up fraternity and is drawn upon by entrepreneurs for advice and strategic direction. Mentoring startups is his passion and he advises Governmental and industrial bodies on the same.
